What is cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy refers to a treatment in which abnormal cells are destroyed by means of freezing. It can be used to treat a number of skin conditions quickly and effectively.

How does it work?

During the procedure, your dermatologist will use liquid nitrogen, which is a very cold substance, to remove abnormal skin growths and tissue. The substance is sprayed onto the area of skin that requires treatment, causing the tissue to freeze very lightly. The freezing causes the skin to peel or scab, depending on the extent of the treatment.
